This shed was used to store lawn equipment and tools for a while, and had a ramp leading to the door so a mower could easily be moved in and out. When the shed was converted into a workshop, the mower was stored elsewhere and the ramp became a constant slipping hazard, especially when wet. And you had to stand on the ramp while unlocking the door. Not ideal.
I installed a landing and steps, which made the shed much more accessible and safe. Posts were concreted into he ground and framed for the landing, then steps were affixed with heavy lag screws. In the end, the landing and steps were incredibly solid.
